We work with natural flagstone and stone slabs that suit the Canadian Shield setting. We walk you through options for colour, texture and thickness during design.
Will flagstone steps shift over the winter?
Frost movement comes from what is underneath. We excavate and build a compacted base under every step and walkway, which is what helps keep the stone stable through freeze and thaw.
Can you build stone steps down a steep slope to the water?
Yes. Waterfront steps are some of our most requested work. Shoreline projects can need approvals, and we help you understand what applies before work begins.
Can I see the design before you start?
Yes. Our in-house design and concept visualization shows you the layout before breaking ground, so you can make changes on paper instead of in stone.
